Andalusian: A Unique Beauty Salon Inspired by Moroccan Style

Unveiling the Beauty of Andalusian Architecture

Step into a world of elegance and luxury at Andalusian, a beauty salon that combines the charm of Moroccan design with the functionality of a modern styling area. Designed by Aseel AlJaberi and Osama Tamimi, this unique salon takes inspiration from the rich architectural heritage of Andalusia and Morocco, resulting in a space that is both visually stunning and highly functional.

The concept behind Andalusian was to create a beauty salon that goes beyond the ordinary, offering clients an immersive experience that transports them to the vibrant streets of Morocco. The designers achieved this by incorporating the iconic arches and intricate carvings that are characteristic of Moroccan architecture into the salon's interior design. The result is a space that exudes elegance and sophistication, while still maintaining a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

One of the standout features of Andalusian is its division into three main sections: the styling area, the reception, and the dispensary area. Each section is carefully designed to create a cohesive and harmonious space, with a clear style and identity running throughout. The styling area, where clients are pampered and transformed, features plush chairs and mirrors framed by decorative arches, creating a sense of luxury and opulence.

The reception area is designed to make clients feel welcome and relaxed from the moment they step through the door. A soothing fountain greets visitors, while shelves display carefully curated retail products that add to the overall experience. The dispensary area, where hair washing and other treatments take place, is designed to be functional yet stylish, with mosaic tiles and geometric patterns adding visual interest.

The materials used in the creation of Andalusian include gypsum, wood, ceramic tiles, mosaic tiles, brass, leather, and geometric pattern wallpaper. These materials were carefully chosen to reflect the authenticity and beauty of Moroccan design, while also ensuring durability and ease of maintenance.

Andalusian is not just a beauty salon; it is a space that aims to create a sense of place and make clients feel valued and satisfied. The design takes into consideration the flow and functionality of the salon, ensuring that clients have a seamless and enjoyable experience. From the welcoming fountain to the great relationship between the clients and the owners, every aspect of the design is carefully thought out to enhance the overall experience.

The Andalusian beauty salon project was initiated in October 2019 and completed in December 2019. It was exhibited at Palestine Polytechnic University, where it garnered attention and praise for its unique and innovative design. The designers, Aseel AlJaberi and Osama Tamimi, conducted extensive research on Moroccan and Andalusian styles to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of their design.

Andalusian has received recognition for its outstanding design, winning the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020. This award is given to designs that demonstrate innovation, practicality, and adherence to professional and industrial standards. The salon's unique blend of Moroccan and Andalusian styles, combined with its commitment to creating a memorable client experience, sets it apart from other beauty salons.

Step into Andalusian and experience the beauty and elegance of Moroccan design. Let yourself be pampered in a space that is not only visually stunning but also designed with your comfort and satisfaction in mind. Discover the magic of Andalusian and indulge in a truly unique beauty salon experience.
